Saturday 9:09
Dear Readers….
Walsh University has finally stepped into its full swing of things. We are all officially done with our second week of classes. As I am writing this blog I am at one of our Saturday 9:09 series. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about, these are series of programs that Residence Life organizes every Saturday conveniently at 9:09pm. Tonight’s schedule… OSU GAME NIGHT! There are about 50 Walsh students here right now watching the game on a projector screen and there are also two other flat screen TVs around the room so not one person misses a moment of this excitement. Tonight we also had free pizza and drinks served along with strawberry and grape shakes. So far this is an awesome night and everyone is enjoying the atmosphere while anticipating the outcome of the game.
Throughout the week (basically everyday) there are programs any Walsh student can attend whether you’re a commuter, a resident and even staff. The huge hit among our students this past week have been Zumba classes. Walsh is currently offering fitness classes and it has been a great success especially with the Zumba. Many of the girls on my freshmen floor were saying that they were looking for some form of exercise so they wouldn’t gain freshmen 15. I myself love to exercise but I don’t really like your traditional exercise so I thought we should all go to Zumba as a floor since it’s free for all Walsh students. In the end there were 70 freshmen students going with me to Zumba and when we got there were twice as many students already there. It was an amazing time and everyone had fun while staying in shape, taking a break from studying and staying out of trouble. Other than Zumba Walsh also offers step, spin and yoga classes, and I hear they are pretty good so I hope to give it a shot this year.
The past two weeks were pretty busy with trying to attend as many events as I can. I’m really looking forward to everything that is coming up this year. I’m also a little nervous because just as everything is getting into gear, so are my classes. It get’s a little challenging but if I ever need help with anything I know that we offer an awesome tutoring center and my professors are always here to help. Okey doke I have to get back to the game… Tonight is going to be a Good Night J
— See ya
