Dear God,

I know you must be busy and I know you can’t really help me here because of that whole “NO INVOLVEMENT IN SPORTS” clause in your contract.  But if you could, just maybe, help the Red Sox come back tonight.  We are down 5-0 in the top of five and personally I am tired of getting smacked around.  Just one hit.  That’s all I need.  Then you can go back to doing what you do best.  If the kid in “Angels in the Outfield” can get his wish, can’t I have just one.  I’ll be watching.  And thanks in advance….

Well there it is folks.  What happens when a college student reaches rock bottom.  While others are worried about mid-terms (all finished with those and cranked them out solidly if you will) I am sitting here watching the Red Sox get pounded once again.  While most are avid sports fans, I am what you call a fan-atic.  Seriously, what other college student do you know that builds a replica of the Green Monster in his common room?  So if you are a Red Sox fan and suffering through this as I am; UNITE!  Stand-UP!  And get the Nation going…Without a rally tonight, it’s a long winter until spring…and frankly I can’t finish my homework depressed tonight.
