It’s Spring (knock on wood)

These past couple of weeks have been pretty hectic here at WU.  Last week I had 6 tests .. and that is all of my classes that I am taking.  The worst ones were the practicals in all of my science labs.  They require so much more studying than anything.  Basically this week has been nice ( unless one totally didn’t study the week before)  because it’s like a fresh start.  Professors give you your grades back .. you either.. cry or get happy and move on with your life.  Well it is now Thursday .. and I am pretty happy so I wanna say Im still in business.  This whole week has just been great… the sunshine outside… the higher temperatures … you can tell that spring is coming (hopefully.. knock on wood).  I live in Olivier Towers and as I look out my window, i get a beautiful view of the parking lot behind all the residence halls.. It’s not necessarily a bad thing because now as I get a glimpse of this sunshine, it makes me feel like it’s summer because all the cars are reflecting the light (super bright), the parking lot is now dry without any snow (and by now I am absolutely sick of it), the best thing is .. you can even see the grass is getting greener and for the first time ever, yesterday we had students actually going outside just to stand around and chat.  With no doubt everyone is sick and tired of all the snow and freezing temps.

Other than that … well Valentines Day is coming and I am very excited to spend it with my boyfriend.  This year we both agreed on making our gifts rather than purchasing them.  I got part of my gift to him completed last Saturday .. at a 9:09.  University Apartments was hosting a wonderful program where students could come and create a picture frame for their loved ones.  The best part about it was that everything was supplied and you could just come in and socialize with your friends, yet create something unique.  Now I just have to figure out what else to make :)

Well these are just a few things that have been going on.  Around this time of year students are usually also working on finishing their scholarship applications and FAFSA forms so that they can get as much money as possible for their schooling.  If you are going to be an incoming freshman… word of advice.. fill out your FAFSA as soon as you possibly can.  It really does matter.. the sooner you do it.. the more rewards you will get :) This time of year is pretty stressful, but hey .. we are halfway done with this semester I cannot believe this !!!

Okey dokey.. until the next time fellow bloggers
