It got a little cold outside
Hey everyone…
Wow it has gotten incredibly cold outside in the last two weeks… I am not happy about this. I really enjoy the season of Fall… yet this weather just skipped right to winter. I literally have to keep my window closed at all times in my room because it just gets freezing. I am not a fan!
Well the weather is changing and everyone is getting ready for Halloween and some are even thinking about Thanksgiving Break already (and we just had fall break!) but I am more then focused on my school work. The time just keeps flying this semester and I need to make sure that I do as well as possible on everything because soon (this May) I have to take my DAT exam to get into dental school as well as fill applications to grad schools. This scares me a little bit and I sometimes I have no clue where to start. I am excited however because this Tuesday I’m going for my academic advising session with Dr.Freeland and maybe we can get everything arranged in a matter of what needs to happen when. I will tell you guys all about it next week.
These past two weeks have also been pretty exciting… I got to be on TV for Walsh’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. It was such an ex citing thing to do that I have never got a chance to do before. I was a little nervous at first but then loosened up and realized it wasn’t that big of a deal anymore. This is an amazing bonus to Walsh University you always feel confident with whatever you do and you always feel like your part of the Walsh Family and that’s how I feel by being here. This week on Thursday the girls on my freshmen hall in Alexis won the Career Center spread your wings event and therefore we received a free wing party. Career Center was able to bring us free wings on Thursday night and give us incredible tips about interview skills, what not to wear to an interview, and how they are able to help students get jobs. The girls really enjoyed this because they could ask questions that helped on personal basis.
Okey doke that is it for this week…. Come check out this blog next week for stories of sleepless nights because exams are coming my way… but I’m choosing to spend my time making fall door decorations for my residents… seems like the relaxing thing to do J
